What's new in RapidMiner Radoop 9.6
This page describes the new features of RapidMiner Radoop 9.6.
Apache Spark 2.4 support is here!
Radoop now supports the latest, generally available version of Spark! We have verified that everything works as expected in Radoop with this new version.
An important note: Spark 2.4 is designed to work with two different Scala versions under the hood: Scala 2.11 and 2.12. Radoop only supports the Scala 2.11 version.
Update / migration
Please note that as part of this release RapidMiner Radoop restricted its backwards compatibility and requires at least RapidMiner Studio 9.5 (or higher) and optionally RapidMiner Server 9.5 (or higher). Update is available through the RapidMiner Marketplace.
Update on support matrix
As announced in Radoop 9.4, the time has come to finish the deprecation process of providing connection capabilities to some specific Spark and Hadoop vendors and versions. More details can be found in the Changes in Version 9.6.0.
