What's new in RapidMiner Studio 10.2

Released: August 16, 2023

Please be aware that RapidMiner Studio 10.2 no longer supports Win32 (x86). Due to its severe memory constraints and Win64 (x64) being the standard for many years now, we have decided to discontinue Win32 support. Furthermore, Windows 7 and Windows 8 have reached EOS by Microsoft, so those are also no longer supported. Windows 10 is now the minimum required version of Windows.

Introducing Interactive Analysis

RapidMiner Studio introduces an Interactive Analysis view that provides business users, data scientists and analysts with a new wizard-based, intuitive tool for building Altair’s unique, patented Decision Trees models. Powered by Altair Knowledge Studios’ engine, users can create decision tree models with options to grow trees automatically, find the best split, delete splits, and save the model and use it in the scoring workflows, which can be further deployed to Altair RapidMiner AI Hub. More information can be found here.

Note: The Interactive Analysis feature is only supported with an Altair Units license in RapidMiner Studio. Additionally, it draws 10 units over the base units draw of the Studio.

Studio goes International!

RapidMiner Studio 10.2 is now available in Japanese and Chinese too. With the new multi-language pack extension now bundled with the installation, users can set the language for RapidMiner Studio. The Japanese language translation is supported by our partner KSK Analytics, Inc. https://www.ksk-anl.com

More support for Altair Units License

This release has added support for managed Altair One and Altair Student edition licenses. Moreover, the studio has a user interface to configure the Altair licenses in this release.

AI Hub Project Clean Up

RapidMiner AI Hub now allows cleaning up projects w.r.t. the git history to reduce the on-disk memory consumption. See the corresponding section in the AI Hub documentation. RapidMiner Studio does support this new feature by checking for a clean up and making sure you have the newest version checked out. If a clean up occured and you have local changes, those can be backed up on your local disk. This local backup will no longer be a git repository, but it will keep a file to tell what your local changes were.
